If you know knitting basics like knit, purl, cast on, and bind off you are ready for a knitting project! Create a basic pullover sweater for a toddler! Please bring to class 1 skein (6 oz ) each of 2 different but complimenting colors of red heart baby sport pompadour yarn, 1 pair each of size 4 and size 7 needles, 2 stitch holders 4 - 5 in. long, scissors, knitting gauge, and blunt yarn needle. Note: Before class check gauge: in knit 1 row, purl 1 row pattern (stockinette stitch), 20 sts = 4 in., 28 rows = 4 in. Knit a swatch using 30 st in stockinette stitch pattern and make it 5 in. long, change needle sizes if necessary.
